The ACDSee Photo Editor program is packed full of features that will make your photo editing a snap.  And not only can you edit them a number of ways, you can also create other things as well.

There are many ways you can edit your photos.  There are several "auto" functions that work quite well.  You can also edit without using the auto buttons, for more control over your image.  There is also an image pane, where you can drag and drop several images at once to batch edit them, which is extremely useful if you have a group of photos taken under the same conditions.

I think one of the best features of this program is the tutorials section.  Along the right hand side of your screen, there are topics on almost everything you could want to know, with step-by-step instructions that you can follow along with.  Those range from basic things on editing photos to more advanced creative techniques.

One of my favorite discoveries was the vignette tool.  A simple click and drag around the area of the photo you wish, and you are left with a nice softly faded edge to your photo.

You can also create scrapbook pages!  Simply open up any photos and kits that you want to use, open a new document, and start creating.  You can crop shapes, move, rotate, resize, move layers front to back...and end up with a pretty impressive page in the end.

From the variety of editing tools to the many creative options offered, the ACDSee Photo Editor program is a pretty powerful all-in-one program, and I would recommend it to anyone.

ACDSee Photo Editor is a powerful tool for getting creative with yourdigital photos. It has tools similar to other, bigger editing programsbut with a clean interface and lots of step-by-step instructions for beginners using the program and for getting started on creating fabulous projects.

To start, there are photo adjustments including adjusting the lightand/or color, sharpening, blurring, and artistic settings.  Almost allof the standard settings found in bigger, more expensive programs!
Plus there are clear explanations and even side-by-side comparisons(variations) of before and after the changes! This is a great tool formaking changes. The variations are wonderful! You don't have tounderstand all the terms, you can just choose which option you like best!! The windows are easy to understand after you play around with them for a minute or two and they all have lots of examples for allthe adjustments. There's even histogram information and batch processing of photos available.

There's also the standard features you'd expect in a photo editing program: rotating, cropping, auto photo adjustments, red-eye fix, texttools, and fully adjustable drop shadows.  It's really a full featurescrapping program! But in addition to the basic tools, there arefantastic shape cutting tools and a free-hand tool for your own creations. There's dodge and burn for the most realistic details.  And a text tool that includes kerning, leading, and having text fit into a shape!

However, one of the best features for digital scrappers is the Image basket.  As you open each element or background, it's added to yourimage basket.  Open a new document, and then drag each element from your image basket that you want to use on your layout right onto yourblank canvas!  Arrange your layout as you want at the end of the process, you can take a look at your image basket . . . delete the images you didn't end up using . . . and viola'! There is a complete list of everything you used in your layout!! Just roll over eachelement and you can see exactly where it came from! A complete list of all your supplies used!

In addition, under How-Tos, there's a section called Creative Ease. There you'll find clear step-by-step projects such as antiquing a photo, creating a wallet strip, a wine label, t-shirt transfer, party initiations, and digital scrapbooking pages.  Instructions with lots of screen shots to help you along.  It's a fantastic way to get started on some great projects!

ACDSee Photo Editor allows a beginner to take photos from their camera and get started, right away, on fantastic creative projects! The program features clear examples and step-by-step instructions. However, a more experienced user will not be disappointed by this program.  The full set of features will allow them to continue to be challenged and be able to go from a simple project to a more complicated project including photo adjustments and any tool a more advanced digital scrapbooker would need!

This is definitely a scrapping program easy enough for a beginner but with enough muscle to keep up with you as you expand your skill level.
