Kathleen Turner, Moderator

Kathleen is married, and lives in Des Moines, Iowa, with her husband and their adorable and sweet daughter Delaney (you will see her in particular all over Kathleen's gallery). Kathleen grew up in Chicago, moved to the Detroit area in 1996, where she spent six years, followed by a brief six months in Indianapolis before moving to Iowa in 2003. Des Moines has been a great place to settle in, and the Turner's enjoy all the things the town has to offer! If you ever happen to be driving through Iowa on I-80, or I-35, make sure to stop by for lunch!

Her passion for creative outlets and capturing memories has existed for a long time, but was catapulted front and center shortly after Delaney was born. Upon discovering DSP, Kathleen was able to put the paper and glue away for good (honestly, it was over before it started), and quickly became engrossed in learning all things Photoshop and digital scrapbook. These, um, obsessions, led to a new camera, a sparkly Canon Rebel XTi, and a desire to take better photos to document not only the big occasions and milestones, but the every day adventures that make up her life, and that of her family and friends.

In between the "day job" working for a large software company, spending time with her family, keeping the house running, and capturing those memories, Kathleen enjoys music, reading, golf, and travel - cooking used to be up there, but the time for fun and creative cooking has disappeared! When she is lucky enough to have her parents arrive for a few days to watch over Delaney, Kathleen and her husband often visit Napa Valley to fuel their love of wine.

Kathleen loves to talk to anyone about digital scrapbooking and photography. She is always willing to lend a helping hand.

Remember the little things in life...for one day you may look back and realize they were the BIG things.
