Jill Williams and her husband, Dennis live in Northern Illinois {Jill refers to it as living “in the boonies”}.   From their back door they can watch deer and turkey munching out of the bird feeders along with a plethora of backyard birds.  Having grown up on a small farm in Northwest Illinois, Jill is a country girl at heart though she didn’t always have an appreciation for country living, especially during the winter months when she and her family would get snowed in! 

Their son, Jacob, is a chef in downtown Chicago.  Both Jacob and Dennis love being in the kitchen and are each excellent cooks.  It is not uncommon for Dennis to cook elaborate meals for friends and neighbors to enjoy.  Dennis’ specialties include apple pie (everything from scratch), cream of asparagus soup and most recently, soufflés. 

Jacob and his fiancé, Amanda have been together since 2002 and are the subjects in a large number of pages Jill has created.  {Their wedding date is July 25, 2009 so Jill is keeping her eyes open for those special DSP kits to use after the “big” day!}   Jill’s cute little red-haired great nephew, Nathan is also the subject in a lot of layouts.  She loves creating the pages and passing them on to Nathan’s daddy & mommy.

Jill found DSP in 2006 while looking for something creative she could do with the hundreds of Keith Urban concert photos she had taken.  DSP was just the creative outlet she’d been looking for ~ and she’s been hooked ever since.

Jill participated in NKOTB shortly after registering @ DSP.  Six months later she found herself competing in the DET contest.  She was thrilled when she became a member of DET 5, DET 6 and DET 7.  According to Jill, being part of DSP’s DET was an awesome experience, one she will never forget.

Jill has far more summer hobbies than cold weather hobbies!!  She enjoys flower gardening and riding (not driving!) motorcycle with her husband.  They are on the Harley every chance they get during the warm months, often times riding hundreds of miles a day.  They also have a BMW Z4 that we like to bop around in when it is a bit cooler outside.

Since they are empty nesters, they have had the opportunity to travel more in the past few years than they had before.  So far, their favorite trip has been Alaska – the scenery is so beautiful it is just hard to describe!  Last year they enjoyed an eastern Caribbean cruise with their friends – what perfect weather!!  Warm and sunny all of the time!  They will be vacationing in Hawaii in a few weeks and are looking forward to seeing just how beautiful the island of Kauai is in person!

SandyGB is Jill's inspiration!  When she was taking part in the NKOTB contest she was searching other layouts for ideas when she spotted her pages.  Jill loves her style and is amazed at the creative ways she uses the kits!

One last favorite of Jill's: Her favorite color is an easy one … hands down … PINK!
